The International Baccalaureate Programme at School of the Nations is an academically challenging and balanced programme of education with final examinations that prepare students for success at university and life beyond. The programme is taught over two years to students in Forms Five and Six (normally aged 16 to 19).
Students must take one subject in each of the following areas:
- Language A-1 (English or Mandarin)
- Language B (English or Mandarin)
- Individuals and Societies (Psychology)
- Experimantal Sciences (Chemistry or Physics)
- Mathematics
- The Arts (Visual Arts). A student may choose to substitute a second science for Visual Arts.
Additionally, students complete the Theory of Knowledge course, the Extended Essay (an independent research project) and CAS (activities related to creativity, action and service).
